Sports Programs for Grades K-6

Our K-6th grade sport programs focus on strengthening the skills and fundamentals of each particular sport. Programs are broken down into smaller groups, according to participant age. Home School Gym Class

Members & Non, Age 5 – 10th grade

Students socialize with other home schooled kids while engaging in aerobic exercise. Coordination, teamwork, confidence and sportsmanship skills are focused on. All classes are led by a JCC Coach.

Pre-Registration is required.  Class registrations limited to 30 children. Each family participant will need to fill out a waiver.

Future Stars Basketball

Members, K-3rd grade

Kids are introduced to dribbling, shooting, passing, footwork, defense, and teamwork. Our youth basketball program is offered at two levels, Kinderhoopers and Future Stars, according to age.

Spring Soccer

Members, Age 3 – 3rd grade

We are proud to partner up with Sporting Nebraska FC for our soccer programming. Classes teach basic soccer fundamentals in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Sporting Nebraska FC is a fellow non-profit organization that shares our belief in developing and instilling positive self-esteem, self-confidence, team work, and respect in all youth athletes. Players must wear shin guards. Correctly sized soccer balls are encouraged, but not required.

Spring Baseball

Members, Age 34 – 3rd grade

Little Sluggers is an introductory level class where boys and girls, age 4- PreK, learn the fundamentals of baseball. Class will teach throwing, catching, hitting, fielding, base running, and the value of sportsmanship and healthy competition. MVP Sluggers is a beginning level coach pitch level offered to boys and girls, K-3rd grade. Practices are led by JCC staff, but we welcome parents to coach if possible. Needed equipment: glove

Taekwondo

Members, Age 6 – Adult

Taekwondo through Omaha Martial Arts is offered at the J. The whole family is encouraged to enroll and participate together. Classes are traditional style mixed martial arts and led by Bret Salomon, 3rd degree black belt. Classes meet 2 times a week in the small group ex studio. Uniforms required ($30). Higher ranks require additional protective gear. Annual Membership fees and Belt Testing fees may apply. Call (402) 334-6426 to register.

Private Basketball Lessons

Members & Non Members

These 60 minute lessons are a great way to work on specific skills. Players will work on shooting, ball-handling, footwork and much more. Workouts are customized for each player to target specific areas for improvement.

All Private lesson are 60 minutes and for 1-2 players at similar skills
