Swim Lessons
Members, Ages 3 months – Adult
Group Swim Lessons are offered at a variety of levels and help improve general swim ability. Participants will receive an evaluation card at end of the session. Advanced registration is required. Please contact the Aquatics Department at (402) 334-6473 if you need help determining your child’s lesson placement.
NEW– Sunday lessons are open to Members ONLY. Tuesday / Thursday lessons are open to Members and Non Members.
Registration for upcoming session will open at 10:00 a.m. on the following dates:

Protocol & Policies
There will be no make-up days if participant misses their scheduled lesson. Classes will not be pro-rated if participant is absent.
Our main goal is to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience. With that in mind, some of our policies have been updated. Please contact the Aquatics office at (402) 334-6473 if you have questions.
Please be advised of the following protocol:
• Signed Waiver / Forms Required to Participate In Class
• There will be 5-10 minute intervals between classes to decrease crowding during transitions
• Only 1 parent allowed per baby for Baby & Me lessons
• Children under the age of 3 years and/or anyone that is not toilet trained will need to wear the following approved swim diaper such as a Happy Nappy
To use any credits on your account, you must either register in person at Member Services or call (402) 334-6426 to register. You MUST indicate that you have credits when you register. (If you register online there is no way to indicate you have credits to use.) The week before lessons start, new participants will be emailed an electronic waiver form that must be completed and returned for each swimmer to participated in group swim lessons

Baby & Me Swim Lessons
Age: 3 months – 3 years + Adult
Only 1 adult allowed per child
Maximum of 12 per class
We’ve revamped this program! Baby & Me will now be offered at 4 levels. This new structure will feature skills and concepts to help children become safer and more independent in the water. This program is designed for both children and parents to learn safety skills. Lessons will follow a transitional course moving from parents in the water with their child to the child completing the lesson independently with the instructor.

About the Instructor
We are excited to welcome BJ Snyder to the Aquatics team! BJ will work primarily as our Infant to Toddler level swim instructor. BJ has over 40 years of experience teaching children to swim. Her credentials include CPO (Certified Pool Operator), LG (Lifeguard), LGI (Lifeguard Instructor), SSI (Scuba Schools International), CPRI (CPR Instructor). She also has certifications in CPR, AED and O2. She specializes in working with young children, infant through pre-school age. She had also helped us build the new infant to toddler level swim curriculum and programs now available!

Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons
Members, Ages 3 – Adult
These lessons are a great way to get individualized instruction and focused attention on any areas of concern. Private lesson are tailored to your skill level, ongoing and can be scheduled at your convenience. Private lessons are for one person. Semi-Private lessons are for groups of two at similar skill level.
Infant – Toddler
Members, Ages 3 months – 3 years
Start swimming sooner! In private lessons young children will learn essential water safety skills and learn to be comfortable and confident in the water from an early age. Parents of children ages 12 months and younger have the option of getting in the water and completing the private lesson with their child. Contact Sarah Waszgis to schedule your private lessons.
Private Lessons
• Private lessons are 1 member per instructor
• Infants (ages 3-12 months) will have 20-minute sessions. If they choose to, parents may join their child and the instructor in the water for their private lesson.
• Toddlers (ages 1 – 3 years) will have 30-minute sessions. We recommended parents NOT join their child in the water for this level of private lesson.
• The recommended lesson structure is 2x per week for 4 weeks at a time, however lessons are scheduled to fit each individuals availability.
We recommend continuing lessons after skills are mastered for maintenance.
• If the lesson participant is 18 months old or younger, parents MUST attend the private lesson with their child. This means parents must bring their children to and from all lessons and stay for the duration of the lesson.
• Children under the age of 3 years and/or anyone that is not toilet trained will need to wear the following approved swim diaper. Happy Nappy
