The Early Learning Center (ELC) is a place where children can explore, play, and make independent choices while feeling secure and warmly nurtured. We encourage all JCC Members who are not yet in Kindergarten to join us at these Enrichment Classes. Children do not have to be enrolled at the ELC to register for  but they must be a JCC member. Participants must be born between August 2020-August 2022. Classes have a required minimum of four and maximum of eight participants.

POTTERY
Taught by local potter Vanessa Piper, this hands-on class invites young children to explore the fun and creativity of working with clay. Students will learn basic pottery techniques and will make and glaze their very own piece to take home. Three sessions are listed, please enroll in only one, as the same class content is repeated across all sessions.

MAKING A MESS-TERPIECE

Join us for a fun and creative three-week art class designed especially for preschoolers! This class focuses on process art—an open-ended, exploratory approach where the experience of creating is more important than the final product. Children will use a variety of materials to express themselves, experiment freely, and enjoy the joy of making art without pressure. And the best part? We take care of the clean-up!

We’re partnering with Soccer Stars and the J Athletics department to build soccer skills, develop self-confidence, improve gross motor skills, and practice socialization.
