Swim Team
JCC members | Ages 5-18
Our experienced coaching staff works to help team members progress in ability and technique while also encouraging teamwork, leadership, and personal goal setting – skills that can translate into everyday life. Participants will build technique, endurance and speed. All Swim Team participants must have passed a certain level of swim lessons. Swim Team tiers levels are listed below. Silver Sharks
- For those new to the program
- Need to have passed Level 4 swim lessons or schedule a swim test.
- Learn drills, dives and turns while building stroke technique and endurance.
- Prerequisite for Silver level: 25 freestyle w/ side breath, 25 back stroke, 25 basic breast stroke, dolphin kick
Monday & Wednesday
4:30-5:15 p.m.

Red Sharks
- Past participants still at beginner level
- Need to have passed Level 4 swim lessons or schedule a swim test.
- Learn drills, dives and turns while building stroke technique and endurance.
- Prerequisite for Red level: 50 Freestyle w/ side breathing, 25 back stroke, 25 breast stroke, dolphin kick, basic dive off the wall

Black Sharks
- Need to have passed Level 5 swim lessons, advanced from Silver / Red Shark, or schedule a swim test.
- Intermediate sharks build form, speed and endurance to prepare them for competition swimming.
- Prerequisites for Black level – By invitation only, must have coach’s evaluation to join or graduate

Gold Sharks
- Need to advance from Black Shark
- Gold Sharks perform advanced drills and swimming greater distances to push them toward their greatest potential as swimmer.
- Prerequisites for Gold level – By invitation only, must have coach’s evaluation to join or graduate from black sharks w coach’s approval
