Our K-6th grade sport programs focus on strengthening the skills and fundamentals of each particular sport. Programs are broken down into smaller groups, according to participant age. Lions Flag Football League

Little Lions Flag Football League: K-2nd Grade

Sundays | May 3–June 7

Practice: 1 hour/week (team‑scheduled)
Games: Sundays

The JCC Little Lions Flag Football League offers a 6-week season of co-ed 5v5 action. We’re proud to welcome former NFL player Jamar Love as our program advisor, bringing elite support and strategy to every team this season. Practices and games will be held on the new synthetic turf, accessed through our pickleball facility. T-shirt and flags provided.

Young athletes (K-2nd) will learn about the game in a supportive and energetic environment while older players (3rd-8th) will test their skills in a more competitive season.

JCC members: $100  |  Non members: $135
Team (6-10 players): $300 – Save by registering a whole team!

About Jamar Love

We’re excited to announce JCC Athletics has partnered with former NFL and college football player, Jamar Love, to be our program advisor! Jamar Love is a former professional football cornerback. He played college football at Arkansas and was signed by the New England Patriots. He was also a member of the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans. Jamar also played 7 seasons in the CFL and AFL leagues for Saskatchewan Roughriders, Tampa Bay Storm, Milwaukee Mustangs, Cleveland Gladiators, and Nebraska Danger.

Soccer Stars Clinics

Our age-specific curriculum is designed to develop skills, teach teamwork, and build self-confidence in every child! Each week, players enjoy skill building activities and fun games, led by experienced coaches. Our clinics are perfect for all skill levels, focusing on ball control, passing, shooting, and—most importantly having fun on the field.

Soccer Stars Rec League

Members & Non, Ages 6-10

Saturdays, March 21–May 16 (no class April 4)

Ages 6-7 | 12-1 pm
Ages 8-10 | 11:55 am-1 pm

Join us for Saturday Soccer at the JCC. This format follows a practice and play style method. For the first half the kiddos practice and drill soccer fundamentals with their respective teams. For the second half the kiddos go to battle with an actual soccer game (to the best of their abilities at this age). Spring Soccer Stars will be held on the new synthetic turf.

Soccer Stars is a national organization that offers a comprehensive, developmental experience for children ages 1 to 12+. Their philosophy goes beyond teaching the fundamentals of the sport. They use the soccer ball as a vehicle to instill important life lessons, develop skills, boost confidence, and develop teamwork in every class. We are dedicated to ensuring that our young players have safe and positive experiences on the field.

Our curriculum is crafted by soccer experts and child development professionals, ensuring every session is packed with fun, engaging activities.

Future Stars Youth Basketball

Mondays | March 2-30

Ages 6-7 | 9 am-12 pm

JCC members: $70/month

Come join us for skill development and fun, with Future Stars at the J. The kids will learn the basic skills of basketball while playing fun games and competitions. All activities will be run by former College Basketball Coach and current JCC Basketball Coordinator Christian Carter. These are 4-week sessions, running each month during basketball season.

Little Lions Try-It Day

Members & Non, Ages: K-2nd Grade

1st-2nd Grade | 6–6:45 pm

Join us for Little Lions Try-It Day! This special event is designed for young athletes who are interested in being part of our Little Lions Basketball Program. It is a great opportunity for families to meet our staff, see how practices are structured, and help their child take their first step into youth basketball. We look forward to welcoming your Little Lion to the court!

Taekwondo

JCC members & non members | Ages 6-Adult

Taekwondo through Omaha Martial Arts is offered at the J. The whole family is encouraged to enroll and participate together. Classes are traditional style mixed martial arts and led by Bret Salomon, 3rd degree black belt. Classes meet 2 times a week in the small group ex studio. Uniforms required ($30). Higher ranks require additional protective gear. Annual Membership fees and Belt Testing fees may apply. Call (402) 334-6426 to register.
